Welcome! I hope this is enjoyable for any that participate here, but there are some ground rules I would like to put out at the beginning.
- NO arguing over techniques, or quality of work shown by anyone.
- NO post other than woodworking related material
- NO sales advertising. If you have a shop, you may tell where your shop is, what you make, how to get in touch with you, but not post items for sale here. If you have equipment that you want to sell, we can think about a thread for that item on a case by case basis. I don’t intend to have classifieds here though.
- NO copyright violations, if you post someone else’s work, make sure you give credit to them, or get permission to use their work online. Photo copy of magazine produced plans is not allowed, that is a copyright violation. If you want to share a magazine plan, you should do it offline person to person.
- You may post questions on how to do something about woodworking, give a method that works for you, ask questions on how I do something, ask about sourcing items used in woodworking, share your work, and share useful article sources and projects.
- DO NOT ask me questions on web developing or design. You should feel free to use the same sources I used, YouTube and WordPress on YouTube. There are tons of useful video clips about anything you wish to know, and I do not know that stuff off the top of my head, nor do I have time to go search for you. Do that work on your own. In my opinion, if you’re meant to have your own web site, you will figure that stuff out, if you can’t, then either pay someone to do it or you shouldn’t bother with it. I won’t even do this research for pay, just not interested.
- Posts to the blog come to me for moderation, when I see them, if they are within these guidelines I most often will allow them to show on the site, but if not, they go into the trash. So don’t waste your time typing some long question that I’m going to delete because it’s not woodworking relate.

Yes, I’d tried other platforms on my site and found that WordPress was the best by far for flexibility and design for the web-ignorant like me. If it were not for videos online I’d still not have a page going. There is wonderful support with WP and I feel that once I gain a better handle on things, I’ll have an even better site. I get a lot of ‘why don’t you…’ from people that likely know how to do stuff and think everyone can, but that’s not true, not every one knows all about web page design and development, and I’m certainly in that group. I’m hosted on iPage, but frankly they’re not the most economical.
