Our shop...please pardon the mess!!! (Well, it is a working shop...)
We've recently been doing a few more videos, mostly of a very big project of building a new CNC machine for the shop. The best video is the machine in use. Hope you enjoy.
A shop tour done in 2019 for the Western Piedmont Wood Crafter's Club
The next video is putting a chess board border together. This one is Mahogany and goes together pretty easily. This is real time, nothing cut out. The sounds are shop noise, you might want to put the sound off and just watch the video...I've not figured out how to put something more pleasant to listen to on there yet.
This next video is about turning a pen from the point that the blanks have been prepped with tubes to the point of assembly. This includes turning the profile, sanding, and putting on a CA finish. You may also see I've learned more about making videos...hopefully this one will be a bit more enjoyable, the music is background noise in the shop...I've not figured out how to lay down a real music track yet that makes sense...but will soon.
This video is the making of a honey dipper. These are hand turned from a foot long blank that has the design and shape that comes to mind while turning. There is no real pattern other than the honey end, the handles are just whatever comes to mind, and whatever it takes to cover up mistakes I make. Hope you enjoy!!
This video is just over an hour long. It is a segmented bowl project start to finish. The wood is left over from another project that I completed, and decided to make a different something with it. I let the pieces dictate the shape for most of it, however I did expect the bowl to turn out nearly like it did. This is only the second such vessel that I have ever made, and while it turned out pretty good, I expect to get better. I hope you enjoy this one, I'll do more when projects lend the time.
